Corridor of Light #2

Architectural Light Installation

Commissioned by: Moody Center
Location: Austin, Texas
Year: 2022

Corridor of Light #2 is a permanent architectural light installation integrated into a primary circulation corridor at Moody Center in Austin, Texas. Part of an ongoing series of overhead architectural light installations, the work transforms the transitional passageway into an immersive environment of shifting color and motion, using light to alter the atmosphere and perception of the surrounding architectural space.

Extending across the length of the corridor, the installation creates evolving compositions that gradually move through the space as visitors pass beneath it. Reflections, color transitions, and large-scale illuminated forms reshape the character of the environment throughout the day and during live events, turning a functional circulation space into a dynamic public experience.

Like other works in the Corridor of Light series, the installation explores the use of overhead illumination to redefine movement through architectural space, creating responsive visual environments that blend seamlessly into the structure of the building itself.

Designed specifically for the architecture of Moody Center, the installation combines custom lighting systems and real-time control software to create a continuously evolving visual environment integrated directly into the venue.
