Corridor of Light #1

Architectural Light Installation

Location: BOK Center
Tulsa, Oklahoma
Year: 2019

Corridor of Light #1 is a permanent architectural light installation located above a 300-foot backstage corridor at BOK Center, a major multi-purpose arena in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The work transforms a functional passageway leading to the dressing rooms into an immersive environment of shifting color and motion.

Part of an ongoing series of overhead architectural light installations, the piece uses large-scale illuminated forms and changing light patterns to alter the atmosphere of the corridor. Designed for a space used by visiting musical artists, touring productions, and sports teams, the installation brings a dynamic visual experience into an otherwise utilitarian area of the arena.

The work explores how light can reshape transitional architectural spaces, creating a sense of movement, energy, and arrival through color, rhythm, and overhead illumination.
