Closed Loop
Suspended Media Sculpture
Exhibited at: LIC-A Art Space
Exhibition: Worlds Aglow
Location: Long Island City, New York
Year: 2025

Closed Loop reimagines traditional LED video wall components as a suspended sculptural form, reconstructing familiar display technology into a continuous looping structure using custom 3D-printed supports. The work transforms the rigid geometry of modular display panels into a flowing overhead object that exists between sculpture, architecture, and moving image.
Displayed across the suspended form is a continuously evolving visual pattern that moves seamlessly through the sculpture’s looping geometry, creating the impression of an infinite circulating system of light and motion. As viewers move beneath the installation, shifting perspectives alter the relationship between the physical structure and the imagery flowing across its surface.
Presented as part of Worlds Aglow, curated by Caroline Voagen Nelson at LIC-A Art Space in Long Island City, the work explores repetition, circulation, and the transformation of commercial display technology into an immersive sculptural environment.
